Minute packs will be available to buy in the apps soon. Until then, the preview has no purchases. Pack sizes and prices will be shown in the app before you buy.
Conversation-minute packs
- A pack is a one-time purchase of conversation minutes. There is no subscription and nothing to cancel.
- Pack minutes never expire. You can buy any pack at any time; you don’t need to have bought one before.
- Your minutes belong to your TwoWay account, not to one device. Sign in with the same email on another device and your balance comes with you. You can see it in Account & plan.
Your free trial
- Each new account gets a free five-minute trial, once. Trial minutes expire 30 days after they are added to your account.
- Trial minutes are used before pack minutes because they expire first.
- One trial per person: we use protected email identifiers to prevent repeat trials, as explained in the privacy notice.
How minutes are counted
- Live counts the time TwoWay is listening and translating, until you pause or the conversation ends.
- Push to Translate counts one conversation from your first press that gets a translation until two seconds after the last translated words. Pauses between your exchanges in that conversation count too. After about eight seconds with nothing new, the conversation ends, and that final wait is not counted.
- Each successful conversation counts at least 15 seconds, once per conversation, not per press. A conversation that produces no translated words is not charged.
- For reliability, each connection to the translation service has a time limit. When it is reached, TwoWay reconnects and your conversation continues as the same conversation: there is no second minimum, and the short gap while it reconnects is not counted.
- Pause ends the conversation. Starting again begins a new conversation.
- During a conversation some of your minutes are reserved. Reserved minutes you don’t use return to your balance when it ends.
- The timer in the app is an estimate; your account balance is the record. When no minutes remain, translation stops and the app asks you to add minutes in Account & plan.
How you will pay
- Apps from the App Store or Google Play use that store’s purchase and refund support. Use “Restore purchases” in Account & plan to recover eligible purchases.
- Apps downloaded from TwoWay (the Android APK and the Mac app) use checkout by Paddle, our payment provider. Use the link on your receipt for purchase support.
- Any taxes are shown by the store or Paddle before you pay. TwoWay never receives your full card details.
See refunds for when you can get your money back and what happens to your minutes, and the terms of service for the full rules.
